Student Representative Council

St Kevin’s Catholic School has an enthusiastic Student Representative Council (SRC) with representatives from Kindergarten to Year 6 who meet regularly across ech term. The SRC is run by the Year 5 and Year 6 SRC Captains and supported by class teachers.

The members of the SRC represent their class in sharing their voice and supporting the decision-making in the school with a particular focus on social justice and sustainability initiatives at St Kevin’s. Each class has two representatives who are elected by their class to serve on the SRC for a semester (eg. Terms 1 and 2, or Terms 3 and 4).

The students meet and discuss what is working well around the school as well as sharing ideas or suggestions for improvements. They speak on behalf of their peers and are responsible for reporting back important messages to their class. Our SRC take on an active role in caring for their school community as well as the wider parish and global communities.

Some of the things the SRC are involved in include: refresh of the PBL rules and expected behaviours, discussions of play time rules and any suggestions or changes, organising activities for special events such as Wellbeing Week, organising and promoting our charitable work for Catholic Mission and Caritas.
